Tree Crew Foreman and Tree Climbers – Austin

Capitol Tree Care is hiring (1) Tree Crew Foreman/Climber and (2) Tree Climber’s to be a part of our growing organization, in a full-time capacity.  We are looking for motivated individuals looking to further their career.  Capitol Tree Care is committed to employee career development and will assist in employee’s obtaining additional certification’s, qualification’s and further educational opportunities for professional improvement.  Compensation is competitive and based upon experience.  We also provide industry leading gear and equipment for our staff and proper PPE to provide a safe and efficient work environment for our team.

Requirements for ALL positions:

Pass a drug test and back ground check upon hiring

Have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

Must have reliable transportation to get to work on time

Must have experience with proper pruning, climbing and rigging practices/techniques

Must have basic knowledge of tree identification

Must speak English, bi-lingual a plus

Must have verifiable job history

Must have a positive attitude and be a reliable team worker

Must be able to work extended hours, in harsh outdoor conditions

Tree Crew Foreman/Climber

Minimum Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5-7 years experience in tree climbing, safe rigging practices, high-risk tree removals and installation of tree cabling/support systems
  • ISA Certified Arborist not required, but a plus

Additional Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous tree crew foreman experience
  • Degrees/certifications in a relatable field of study and/or ISA certifications/qualifications
  • ISA Certified Arborist and/or ISA Tree Climber Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, lead and work with tree crew in completing work orders in a safe, timely and professional manner
  • Prune and remove trees and install tree cabling/support systems, per ANSI standards
  • Point of contact with Arborist/salesperson, office and customers
  • Maintain equipment

Compensation:

Minimum Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years experience with tree climbing, safe rigging practices, high-risk tree removals and installation of tree cabling/support systems

Additional Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degrees/certifications in a relatable field of study and/or ISA certifications/qualifications
  • ISA Certified Arborist and/or ISA Tree Climber Specialist certifications

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in completing work orders in a safe, timely and professional manner
  • Prune and remove trees and install tree cabling/support systems, per ANSI standards
  • Communicate with office, foreman and customers as needed
