City of Houston Texas Arbor Day Celebration — What’s that Tree? Join us starting at 9am to celebrate Texas Arbor Day early by taking a leisurely stroll through the woods and learning to use guidebooks and dichotomous keys to identify common trees. Friday, November 3rd

The City of Bryan Parks Department will be hosting a tree planting event in recognition of Texas Arbor Day. Staff, along with community partners, Wreaths Across America and the Vietnam Veterans of America, will be planting 2 trees within the grounds of Clara B. Mounce Public Library. City of College Station Parks & Recreation Department presents Park in The Dark at 6pm. You don’t have to travel far to create fun memories with your friends and family. The Gary Halter Nature Center invites you to camp out to celebrate. Texas A&M Forest Service will have a booth to answer questions about trees! The City of El Paso will be celebrating Texas State Arbor Day at Grandview Park located at 3100 Jefferson Ave beginning at 9:00 am. The celebration will include the children from Rusk Elementary who will be participating in a poster contest with prizes, tree plantings, live TV, and numerous speakers. Haltom City will have entertainment, local arborist program and Q &A, and refreshments. Free tree seedlings, courtesy of Bartlett Tree Experts, will be given out while supplies last. Immediately following the program, Cowtown Paints is hosting a painting class. Cost is $40 and includes all supplies. You must pre-register to save your spot! City of Houston is celebrating so bring your family, friends, organization, or business out for Texas Arbor Day! There will be crafts, education stations, and games. City of Houston has Repsol Texas Arbor Day Planting Celebrations sponsored by Respol, Trees for Houston, Harris County Precinct 3, H-GAC, Texas Conservation Alliance, Texas A&M Forest Service. Help make Spring more resilient to heat island effects by planting trees, which provide cooler temperatures, cleaner air and other positive impacts. City of Pearland presents Plant Thyme Fall Lunch & Learn. The doors open at 11am at 1850 Broadway Street Pearland 77581. Saturday, November 4th

City of Buda will kick off Arbor Day at 9am by planting 1 -15gal live oaks at Green Meadows Park, 2357 Green Meadows Lane, Buda, TX. City of Dallas‘ Arbor Day will celebrate with our annual tree giveaway, Branch Out Dallas. This year 2610 residents signed up for a tree to plant in their front, back or side yards. The City of Frisco, The Urban Forestry Board, and The Frisco Garden Club are hosting ArborFest, an annual celebration of trees & Frisco’s urban forests. It begins with a tree planting & Mayoral proclamation near the splash pad, followed by a tree tour & trail walk through the park, & it concludes with Buffalo Stomp in the north meadow. The City of Lucas celebrates with an Arbor Day and Recycling Event for electronics and paper shredding. City of Austin and Community Partners celebrate an annual community-wide celebration of trees, pollinators, and all creatures. The Roots & Wings Festival is not one event, it is many, and it is led by the community in neighborhoods all over Austin from October 18 – November 5, 2023! Sunday’s events begin at 12pm.
