Temporary Forestry Inspector – City of Austin
This position will learn all aspects of the Mowing & Vegetation Management Programs Mowing Program – Receive weekly reports and update the tracking spreadsheets for all mowing contractors, keep track of contractor progress, and will inspect mowing locations.
Vegetation Management – On a daily basis, this position will review Maximo, a work order tracking system, for new vegetation and mowing work orders, inspect the locations and update Maximo with the findings and other data. This may result in periodic calls to citizens regarding issues. This position will also be assisting with escalated citizen requests and certified letters. In time it is anticipated this position will become permanent.
This position will be responsible for navigating in a City of Austin vehicle to inspect various mowing locations and vegetation work orders.
