Arborist I – Rice University
The Arborist I at Rice University, under the supervision of the Grounds Supervisor, will perform hands on corrective procedures and preventative maintenance to trees and shrubs on campus with the goal of promoting the health, safety and vigor of campus trees.
Remove dead or dangerous trees.
Conduct emergency tree repair needed due to damage caused by weather or accidents.
Monitor, diagnose, report and treat trees for pests or other problems.
Properly schedule and perform tree pruning on campus.
Provide preventative tree maintenance such as watering, aerating, fertilizing, cabling, and staking to existing trees and plant new tress when needed. Please apply at jobs.rice.edu
