2017 Western Gulf Forest Health Conference

May 18, 2017 @ 8:30 am - May 19, 2017 @ 2:30 pm

Rural and urban forests and trees are under greater pressure and weather extremes as compared to 20 years ago. Because of this, the risk of insect and disease has increased causing adaptations to silvicultural and tree management techniques and regimes. This two day conference hopes to provide education on a variety of threats to our forests and trees as well as adaptive management techniques that can be used to maintain the health of our forests and trees in the Western Gulf region. Landowners of all sizes, homeowners, arborist and forestry professionals from Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas are invited to attend this informative conference.
