Vít Kašpar

Vít Kašpar es el gerente del vivero en TreeFolks, en Austin, Texas, donde puso en marcha el primer vivero propio y el programa de recolección de semillas de la organización. Antes dependiente de otros productores, TreeFolks ahora cultiva cada año miles de plántulas leñosas nativas resilientes al clima para apoyar los proyectos de reforestación y restauración en Texas Central. En los últimos dos años, Vít ha involucrado a voluntarios y miembros de la comunidad en actividades educativas informales, sentando las bases para el naciente “Semillero de Viveros” de TreeFolks, una iniciativa destinada a formar e inspirar a futuros cultivadores.

Vít Kašpar is the Nursery Manager at TreeFolks in Austin, Texas, where he launched the organization’s first in-house nursery and seed collection program. Previously reliant on outside growers, TreeFolks now produces thousands of climate-resilient native woody saplings each year to support Central Texas reforestation and restoration projects. Over the past two years, Vít has engaged volunteers and community members in informal educational activities, laying the groundwork for TreeFolks’ emerging “Nursery of Nurseries” initiative, aimed at training and inspiring future growers.
