Tom Smiley is a Senior Arboriculture Researcher with the F.A. Bartlett Tree Expert Company, an adjunct professor of arboriculture at the University of British Columbia and Past President of the International Society of Arboriculture. He has a long history of research and publications on a wide variety of arboricultural topics including tree support systems, root cutting, protecting sidewalks from root damage, plant growth regulators, promoting root development, lightning protection, and tree risk assessment.
