Dr. Darrell K. Street is a seasoned urban forestry consultant with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Urban Forestry and Natural Resources from Southern University and A&M College. His work focuses on assessing urban and community forestry ecosystems and addressing related environmental issues. As an alumnus of Grambling State University and Southern University and A&M College, Dr. Street brings a strong academic foundation to his work. He owns and operates TIGUAR Urban Forestry Consulting LLC, working with clients like American Forests, city governments, and universities. He also served as an adjunct instructor at Louisiana Tech University from 2020-2022. Dr. Street’s research and work expertise include evaluating the value of urban forestry ecosystems and wood waste, as well as community engagement, i-Tree, statistics, and urban forestry assessment. As a member of the Society of American Foresters, Louisiana Society of American Foresters, and International Society of Arboriculture, he has built a network of professionals including landowners, policymakers, and research professors. Dr. Street’s dedication to urban forestry and natural resource management is evident in his combined academic and practical approach, driving his passion for creating positive environmental impacts
