2025 Texas Community Forest Award Nominations

The Texas Tree Awards Program celebrates the accomplishments of those who have dedicated their talents to the protection, planning, and proliferation of their Texas community forest canopy. Award nominations must be received no later than Sunday, July 13, 2025, at 11:59pm (CT). This program is open to anyone who has a role in building stronger Texas communities by planting, maintaining, or protecting trees.

Categories:

  • Arborist of the Year – Nominations for individual awards are evaluated for leadership, commitment, innovation, impact and sustainability. This is awarded to an individual with at least 10 years of experience in the industry and demonstrated exemplary service and/or leadership within the field of arboriculture.
  • Arboricultural Project of the Year – Recognition of a short-term specific tree care, protection, or planting project that exemplifies arboricultural best practices and customer service. Nominees may include arborists, tree care companies, utilities, landscape contractors, etc. There must be an ISA Certified Arborist of record affiliated with the project. The project must clearly demonstrate above-and-beyond tree care practices.
  • Gold Leaf – Outstanding Landscape Improvement – This award recognizes individuals, organizations, or municipalities that have made significant contributions through tree planting and landscaping which enhances environmental protection, conservation, beautification, energy conservation, or wildlife protection. Projects must show significant impact over several years.
  • Outstanding Community Forestry Program – An award to recognize individuals, organizations, or municipalities that have promoted community forestry through a program that significantly engages, educates, or enhances the community. Project or program must clearly engage with the community and actively promote best practices.
  • Fallen Leaves Ceremony – Fallen Leaves is a tribute aimed at honoring the legacy of arborists in Texas who have passed away in the previous year. This heartfelt recognition serves as a commemoration of their invaluable contributions to the field of arboriculture and their lasting impact on Texas communities. Submissions are open to anyone wishing to honor the memory and celebrate the life of an arborist who has contributed to the tree care industry in Texas. Through Fallen Leaves, we pay homage to these dedicated professionals and ensure that their passion for trees continues to inspire others in the field.
