Inspect, Detect and Assess at the 2016 North Central Texas Urban Forestry Conference

Sharpen your skills at the annual North Central Texas Urban Forestry Conference.  Featured speakers include Gene Gehring with Urban Renewal who will discuss his approach to the scene of a crime against an urban tree (or just an everyday tree problem) and help you investigate effectively and Dr. Bruce Fraedrich, Bartlett Tree Experts Director of Research, a noted expert on assessing urban trees for structure and safety.  Additional information about utilizing diagnostic labs and research on a chemical control for the dreaded cotton root rot will be provided by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Specialists Dr. David Appel and Sheila McBride. Jon Hillis with Environmental Design will top off the day by helping you move the right tree from the wrong place by showing techniques for moving large trees.

Continuing Education Units will be available from the International Society of Arboriculture, the Society of American Foresters, the Texas Nursery & Landscape Association and the Texas Department of Agriculture.
