Building Bridges…

Join us in Waco on October 5-7, 2011, for the largest and best Texas Tree Conference ever! We anticipate over 500 attendees as we "Build Bridges" to include a track for Utility Arborists, and offer sessions focusing on Landscape Architecture with trees in mind, Irrigation with trees in mind, and a Tree School for Spanish-speaking arborists. In addition, we will continue our history of providing outstanding education programs featuring nationally known speakers, the latest in tree research and arboriculture, an awards luncheon, and numerous networking opportunities.

Learn from national leaders in research, arboriculture, utilities and urban forestry.
Featured speakers include Dr. John Ball, Professor of Forestry at South Dakota State University, Dr. Kim Coder, Professor of Tree Biology and Health Care, University of Georgia, David Docker, Managing Arborist, City of Palo Alto, CA and Derek Vannice, VP of Operations, CN Utility Consulting

This year will include the Texas Tree Academy on the Wednesday before the Conference. All day seminars will include Connecting Urban Forestry and Landscape Architecture; Structural Soil; Large Trees, Suspended Pavement; Tree Diagnostics and Stormwater Management. Registration for the Tree Academy is separate from the Texas Tree Conference.

Also included this year is the popular Texas Tree School. This year there will be two all-day tracks. Track One will be an Aerial Rescue workshop taught by Guy LeBlanc and Track Two will be a Spanish Language workshop covering tree biology, tree selection, pruning and other topics taught by Salvador Alemany, Mark Duff and Micah Pace. Registration for the Tree School is separate from the Texas Tree Conference.
